Join us as we photograph an epic mountain sunrise at Rough Ridge Overlook in Blowing Rock, NC

Join us as we wake up early and go on a spontaneous sunrise shoot up in the Blue Ridge Mountains!

I woke up around 3:30 AM to the sound of Jason rummaging around (and if you know Jason, he is not a typical morning person!) I looked and he was dressed and getting the gear together! After a million of my sleepy questions he finally said, "Okay, you can come along, but be ready in 15 minutes." So I jumped out of bed, threw on yesterday's outfit (ha) and left the house before coffee even sank in. No time to wash my hair or put on any makeup. Jason didn't even know where we would end up! It turned out to be a fun adventure. Check it out...

Here are a few of the shots we got.... we ended up loving the look of the light on the mountains and the colors more than we did of the actual sun during sunrise there. Neat to see what came of this!

A little more about us? We live out in the country in a tiny little cottage style farmhouse that we're currently renovating. We have two Blue Heeler pups, two cats, and 11 chickens. We love working in our garden, spending time with loved ones, traveling to new places, old favorites, and meeting new and interesting people along the way. 

We're so thankful to get to do what we do, to be able to work as a team. We love teaming up with magazines and business owners to collaborate and help bring life and imagery to projects and brands. We believe that everyone has a story to tell.
