This Spring we had the opportunity to team up with a local group of North Carolina wedding professionals to collaborate on a unique and authentic styled shoot at Providence Cotton Mill in Maiden, NC...

When Kelly of A Bushel and A Peck Vintage Rentals came to us with her vision for the shoot, we knew it would be special and we were beyond excited to be a part of the project. Take a look at some highlights from our shoot...

For the concept and feel, and story of the shoot, we first and foremost wanted it to be "real", genuine and authentic, and in a sense "pure and simple", and so when selecting our models for the shoot, we wanted them to be a real-life couple with a beautiful story and great chemistry, and what a blessing it was to find our models, Saied and Jessica, who were absolute ROCK stars!

For the design of the shoot and overall inspiration, we went for a "romantic industrial chic look, an edgy twist on classic Southern romance."

The Providence Cotton Mill is such an incredibly unique location. It has a bit of that "ancient ruins" charm that we are obsessed with. These guys were kind enough to allow us to use their beautiful venue for our shoot.

“The Providence Cotton Mill is a Historic open-air pavilion nestled between two creeks and surrounded by green fields and forest. The soaring 30 ft. ceiling allows sunlight to stream in through the two stories of open windows. The main hall is 10,000 sq.ft. with the ability to divide into ceremony and reception areas. The front of the mill, adorned with the large main tower, is the perfect backdrop for an outdoor wedding on the lawn. The perfect setting of old-world charm with an inviting, outdoor feel. Kelly of A Bushel and a Peck Vintage Rentals and Hayley of Vintage Chic Rentals and Design collaborated with their design skills and their unique vintage pieces to give this shoot the romantic industrial look with a mix of old and new to create a spin on tradition. They, along with Jessica Isaacs styled and designed the shoot and brought everything together...

Kelly also provided the rentals, furniture, chairs and tables, and created the dress hanger for the shoot...

Hayley of Vintage Chic Rentals and Design supplied the tabletop pieces, which included classic white dinner and dessert plates, pink and brown goblets, silverware, cloth napkins, trays, candlestick holders, and really cook army loaf pans for the floral centerpieces...

Mossy greens, slate blues, grays and romantic blushes, greenery and wooden textures, and mixed with model metals....

Darleen of Wildflowers Floral Design in Taylorsville, NC created the plentiful floral arrangements for the shoot...

South's Specialty Clothiers in Boone, NC. We selected a beautiful gown for the shoot, "Marcia" designed by MoriLee. The groom wore Michael Kors in Steel Grey Ultra Slim and a thin black tie.

Ryan and Katherine Reynolds of Ordwright Rings handcrafted the wedding bands...

Hair + Makeup was provided by Casey Fisher Lail. She gave our model a loose topknot with a glowy dramatic look featuring some of those modern metallics...

Erica of FOURK Restaurant in Hickory, NC supplied and designed the charcuterie, cheeses, fruits, breads and wines for the tablescape...

Lisa Fox of Nicole Lee Confections designed the wedding cake and the cookies for the plates... The wedding cake had coconut flakes, which is an old tradition, but the wider coconut flakes added a bit of a modern twist.

The foot washing ceremony was such a beautiful part of the shoot, representing humility, commitment, and Christ's love for us...
