Mary + Phillip: A Winter Engagement Session at Honey Bear Campground, Boone, NC
It all started with one little facebook message…..
“On November 1st Phillip messaged me on facebook and after a few minutes of messaging back and forth we realized we had tons of mutual friends. He asked me to be his date to a bonfire that night. I only agreed because I knew everyone else who was going to the bonfire! LOL Since that day we were pretty much inseparable... ”
“Two weeks later on November 15th of 2014 he asked me to be his girlfriend. Over the summer of 2015 we took a trip to California to meet all of his family. Before our trip we made almost weekly trips to petsmart to look at all the furry friends. We saw this one adult cat in the glass window every week and he stole our hearts. We agreed the day before we left for Cali that if Sawyer, the cat at petsmart, was still in the glass window when we came home that we would adopt him. Sure enough on our 4 hour layover in Chicago, on our way home, I called the rescue to see if he had been adopted and he had not! So of course we went straight from the airport to pick Sawyer up from petsmart!”
“On November 5th of 2015 in St. Maarteen he proposed!”
“In December we adopted a sweet baby puppy. We named her Cali short for California (where Phillip’s from).”
“We are now over a year later and couldn’t be more excited to be getting married. It’s been a very emotional experience. It is much more emotional than I ever imagined - the relationship I had dreamed about forever is now my reality. Being engaged to your best friend is truly an amazing thing! I feel so incredibly blessed and I cannot wait to spend forever with my best friend. ”
