A Tour of Bramabella Vineyards & Farm in Moravian Falls, NC - Photographed by Revival Photography
A few days ago we had the opportunity to visit a brand new wedding and event venue called Bramabella Vineyards & Farm. Founded in 2013, Bramabella is a divine wonderland filled with lush greenery, blooming gardens, and flowing streams. Intimate and serene, it is tucked away in the Brushy Mountains of Moravian Falls, NC.
“The term Bramabella is a conflation of the Italian words, Bramare (To yearn for) and Bella (Beauty), so the English translation is ‘To yearn for beauty’.”
“Bramabella Vineyards is the aesthetic wonderland of the author and poet, Pietros Maneos. The property is modeled on his extensive traveling throughout Italy as well as his marked intellectual interest in classical antiquity. Mr. Maneos has decided to unveil the Estate to the public in the Spring of 2015 by hosting weddings and other events. ”
“The estate is 40 acres and contains 800 wine vines, a black truffle orchard, 300 blueberry bushes, two ever-flowing streams with waterfalls, and two natural springs.”
“The beauty of Bramabella, at once singular and sublime, transports one into an idyllic dreamworld that is ideal for fairy-tale inspired weddings.”
“Guests to the grounds have used such phrases as Utopia, Eden, Shangri-La and Arcadia to describe their experience after leisurely strolling through its soul-pleasing, pastoral environs, while gazing at the grazing goats off in the distance. The dreamy, rolling Brushy Mountains that surround the estate seem to guard it from the stress and anxiety of civilization. ”
“I had wrestled with the decision to keep the property completely private or to unveil it to the public. I chose the latter of the two options, as I felt that it would be inherently selfish to keep such transformative Beauty solely for myself and my coterie of family and friends; and so I have elected to share Bramabella with the world by hosting weddings and sundry other events on the property beginning in the Spring of 2015. ”
In the photo above, Pietros Maneos is sharing his vision of what's to come for Bramabella. He has terraced ten acres for a subsequent planting of vines in the Spring of 2016.
We loved this intimate place! Truly a work of art, and most ideal for those who appreciate the pure and simple beauty of nature and for those who wish to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
