LK + James: A Carolina High Country Engagement Session in Blowing Rock, NC
Let me just start by saying that we can't even express how much we adore these two! It's been so awesome getting to know LK and James and work with them on their engagement session, we can't even imagine how awesome the wedding is going to be! If you know LK and James, then you know the chemistry they have together.... they both are as real as a person can be and we love that.... so imagine how incredible it has been to capture them together. We had the best time! Laughed the whole time too. So much fun. We're so thankful to call these guys friends... :)

“Our dogs are like our children. They are spoiled rotten but deserve every bit of it. After we had been dating for about 6 months, James decided to get a dog from the shelter for his present to himself for his birthday. I went with him to pick one out and fell in love with Booker! The shelter told us he would end up being about 90 lbs and that was exactly what James wanted to hear. Needless to say, Booker tapped out at 39.7. James always refers to Booker as the birthday present he got me on HIS birthday. James has always wanted a bigger dog so about 2 months after we got Booker, James went to Petsmart with his roommate to get food. Outside was a little pudgy furball that had really cool tiger stripes. He was fat and lazy and James fell in love. He sent me a picture message to which I responded, “James, what are you thinking?!” I didn’t hear anything back for about 45 minutes and James responded and said “ Sorry, I was filling out adoption paperwork.” I doubted it at the time, but It was one of the best decisions he has ever made. The dogs personalities are very much like ours. Booker is like me and Bear is like James. They are our pride and joy. We are big advocates of pet adoption.”
“James worked really hard to train Bear with all kinds of tricks. One of those tricks is to balance a treat on his nose without moving. That is how we were able to sit the ring on his nose. He is such a patient pup.”
“The champagne cork that is seen in the pictures with the ring is the cork from the champagne the night we got engaged. We found that champagne at the Melting Pot on our first trip to James’ hometown. We loved the champagne so much that we decided to order a case of it when we got home. We saved the bottles for special occasions and the last one we had, happened to be the one we used to celebrate the night we got engaged. I am very sentimental and like to save things like that. It seemed natural to make it a part of our engagement pictures.”
